A small but a great rod of Ids Schukken 5’ 3wt splitcane 2 pcs

This is a short and light splitcane rod with a quick recovery and is also surpricently powerful. The splitcane blank is made by the great rod builder Ids Schukken. The ferules are from nickel silver, the plug of brass and also turned by Ids. I wrapped the Joe Arguello stripping guide and the black nickel Originals Snake Brand guides with Kimono silk baby Jonathan colour. Pearsall Gossamer black for the tipping and ferrules

The ritz grip is made of flor grade cork. Reel seat is of Olive wood, the skeleton and hex winding check are made of blued brass and all turned in house.
